Each year, the VEERkracht members (about 85 veterinarians and animal scientists) come together in three groups for professional training. Spread over three days, in spring and autumn, they dive into the latest scientific insights in animal health, nutrition, and management. National and international speakers share their knowledge and practical experience, turning theory directly into hands-on solutions for daily dairy farming. In this way, VEERkracht remains a dynamic network where learning, collaboration, and progress go hand in hand.
Integrated Cow Management for Veterinarians
If you would like to take part in the Basic ICM Training, you can register through Dactari, which organizes both the Basic ICM Training and the annual Refresher Days for ICM veterinarians.
The Basic Integrated Cow Management (ICM) Training consists of seven sessions, each held on a different dairy farm. During the course, you will learn to:
- Conduct a complete data, animal, and farm assessment
- Integrate farm objectives into your final veterinary advice
- Develop a Cow-Compass
- Communicate effectively with dairy farmers
Depending on registration numbers, trainings are usually organized regionally. Each session takes place at a different dairy farm selected by one of the participants.
After successfully completing the course, you will receive a certificate and be included in the official ICM register.
